Managing Fitness for Work (FFW) breaches can be a complex and involved process and at PRIMEXL we aim to address the Fitness for Work (FFW) needs of both the organisation and the employee.

In conducting a Fitness for Work (FFW) assessment with the employee, our primary goal is to establish the appropriate conditions to constructively address the employee's fitness for work (FFW) breach.  Specifically, our consultants seek to:

  • Ascertain and understand the seriousness of the breach
  • Assist the employee to assess the seriousness of the presenting issue and access appropriate assistance through EAP or other sources, if required
  • Understand the circumstances of the situation including and mitigating circumstances
  • Assess the employee's motivation to address the situation
  • In consultation with the employee, determine appropriate actions required to address the situation
  • Establish the conditions under which the employee can resume work
  • Provide follow up support to ensure that recommendations made in the Fitness for Work (FFW) Management Plan have been implemented

As part of this process, PRIMEXL makes recommendations and formulates a formal Fitness for Work (FFW) Management Plan that works to mitigate the risk of workplace accidents and improve safety
